Paraphrase of telegram from the Secretary of State for
the Colonies to the Governor of Hong Kong.
(Sent, 6.0 p.m. 7th June, 1916)
Your telegram of the 22nd May cipher ae to
Canton Kowloon Railway. Understand arrangements to advance necessary funds have been made by British and
Chinese Corporation. If the Provincial Company does
not wish to construct juction line at once Kinistry
of Communications will instruct Canton Kowloon Railway
to proceed with construction as soon as Corporation makes funds available for the purpose.
